Worship Bulletin

                 for:        Sunday;     December 22, 2024

Welcome; we are very glad you are here.

              Thought of the Day:

This Christmas, we all should do more than celebrating a holiday.  We should try to behold “…the glory as of the only begotten of the Father...” John 1:14

When the Apostle John wrote that verse, he was trying to use words to capture the indescribable and wonderful gift of Jesus becoming flesh and entering our world and lives.  John, was at the limits of the language. The scene at the nativity stopped all the angels of heaven beholding His glory, yet sometimes we do not even stop to give it a second thought as we set up Christmas decorations in our homes.

For many of us, even followers of Christ, Christmas can be centered on shopping, wrapping, cooking, and decorating. While our culture, has made all of these activities a part of this sacred celebration, they are meaningless unless they are centered around the Lord’s glory and His worship.

You can create a legacy of meaning as you prepare this Christmas season.  You can choose to celebrate with gratitude as you share His wonderful story.  You can pass on thankfulness and worship to those around you.

Allow God to help you cultivate a heart that ponders the true reason behind His birth, instead of being overwhelmed with busyness and the to-do lists. In doing so, you will pass on the treasure, not of fleeting gifts soon forgotten, but the greatest and eternal gift of the Savior.

The Holy Spirit invites you into the wonder and worship this Christmas season. If you choose to respond accordingly, He will build a legacy of thankfulness, grace and truth into your heart and family.

      Merry Christmas:

Christmas is only three days away.  We wish each and every one of you a Merry Christmas.  We are grateful for you, our church family.  We pray that you and your family will have a bright and joyous season.

       GMBC Christmas Party:

Today, after our worship service we will gather in the fellowship hall to celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ with our church family.  Everyone is invited to join us as we eat some good food, play some crazy games, and enjoy a wonderful fellowship with each other.

      Reason for the Season:

For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.  (Isaiah 9:6)
